bad bass librarian and all round bad bass
ALICE MATHEWS
Born way too long ago, Alice is a light-hearted soul playing with a few heavy weights. (Yes, and you get to choose what you think that previous sentence means!)
Sometime since she was born, Alice married her polar opposite, gave birth to a bunch of children, hosted music and trading shows on the radio, sold multipurpose household items to unsuspecting buyers, helped grow a non-profit preschool, spoke Spanish and taught English to children of all ages, colorfully costumed herself to perform hopefully-enlightening-and-entertaining shows for students like “The Hoosier Pioneer” and “Sizzlin’ Seuss-a-Mania”, became a real professional librarian who can proudly alphabetize books, cunningly create cool programming and easily educate the masses in all kinds of stuff you go to a library for, and figured out how to sell out a collector/hoarder’s home and stash for fun and profit. She is also very good at building elongated sentences.
The palms of Alice’s hands are very busy holding her future, which amounts to finishing the basement of her home that has been unfinished since Day One, helping maneuver her kids, grandkid and spouse through weirdities of life, and beginning her new career as a voiceover artist. She occasionally stretches her mind by reading books and comics, writing poetry, and trying to figure out what kind of bird she is looking at; her body by walking off the treads of her shoes and digging in garden dirt, and her vocal cords by making music with The Singing Company of La Porte County.
She stretches everything by being 1 of the 9 BAD BASSES!

LAURA ZARANSKI
Laura' s improv bug came as a surprise when what started as a great way to offset the winter blues by trying an improv class at The Second City in Chicago became an obsession that wouldn't stop.
Laura has been studying improv for over 3 years with The Second City and IO as well as taking comedy writing and acting classes. She has been on many teams performing all over the Chicagoland and NW Indiana areas, doing coached ensembles at Second City and improv gladiator in Chicago.
Her 20 year day job is Chinese medicine practicing acupuncture, herbs, nutrition, yoga and meditation. Laura also has 3 grown children she adores, a great husband and more animals than she can count. Her other hobbies include disc golf and racing trimarans sailboats.
